New Year, New Name, New Goals!

Well, we're winding down this year... It's the last 2 days of 2005; how exciting, sad, and scary, all at the same time!

Now that we're officially past the "holidays", we're going to continue this blog, but with the emphasis on Getting Ready for 2006, and all the possibilities that the New Year holds for each and every one of us. We've changed the name of the blog to reflect this. More info will be coming up soon...

In the meantime, let's wrap up and finalize the last of our holiday lists from this year, add our notes of things we learned and reminders of what we shouldn't do next year, and file them away in a safe place and easily retreivable.

Email or call me and let me know how your holiday planning went this year, what worked, what didn't work. Also, what plans you have for celebrating New Year's Eve, if any?

Have a safe, fun and enjoyable New Year's Eve and wishing you the very best for the upcoming New Year!

See you again soon...

How was your Holiday?

Well, we made it through! How did it go for you? Now is the time to recap and look back over the last two months and see what worked out well for you and what didn't. Drop me a line or comment or phone call to let me know how this holiday was for you.

I still have one or two more late gifts to buy and ship (better late than never, I guess?).

I'm going to give a few more assignments over the next few days as we wind down the year, to help us prepare for next year (hopefully, will make things even easier for us next year!).

Assignment: Finish and File your Holiday Lists (10 min.)
Did you computerize your lists this year? (holiday card list, gift list, cooking list, etc.). If not, this would be a great time to finish it up or even create a new computer list, based on what worked for you this holiday. If you'd like a simple template to help you get started, just drop me an email or give me a call.

Just take 10 minutes to do what you can on the following:

1. Create a new list or lists, fill in as much info and details as possible to help you for next year.

2. For existing lists: Look over your info, add last minute info. Also note what DIDN'T work, as a reminder for what "not" to do next year!

3. Save lists under a Holiday directory, where you can easier retrieve it next year.

4. As a back up, save onto diskette, CD or DVD; file in a place where you can easily retrieve next year.

5. As a another back up, print out paper copies and file away where you can easily find it again next year.

Whatever you can't finish in 10 minutes today, just save and continue tomorrow, so you don't get overwhelmed.

See you tomorrow!

It's a Wrap!

Most everyone I've been talking to is pretty much on schedule with their holiday plans and preparations. Congratulations! You've done it! Have you done anything differently this year compared to last year? I'd love to hear about it, feel free to call or drop me a line.

This is it, the last few days and counting. I'm in the wrap, wrap, wrapping mode and trying to fit in some last minute shopping (mostly gift cards).

How'd you do with your holiday cards? I've received some wonderful photocards from friends, even from a mom who just gave birth to her second baby at the end of November! You go Judy! You're awesome with having your act together! It's a beautiful picture of the new baby and her older son, in front of the Christmas tree.

I'm trying to send my cards out in the next 48 hours. With the kids being sick, we were late in getting our annual "Photo with Santa" picture taken and so, I was also late in putting together my 2005 Year in Review scrapbook page that I like to send with my card.

Good luck with the rest of your preparations and let me know how you're doing!

The countdown is on!

OK, we're in December.... the Holiday countdown is on!

How is everyone doing with your holiday shopping, cards, and planning?

(As you've noticed, I am way, way behind...) Hope you're all doing much better than me!

I've gotten calls and emails with updates and need to update this site with your comments, which I will do later... [just got a little sidetracked this month with other "stuff"...]

Keep your comments, tips and suggestions coming on how you're doing!

Also, what are you doing differently this year, compared to last year, that has helped you?

See you again later!
