Holiday Card List - Step 1

Ok, we're officially getting started with Getting Ready for the Holidays today. I promise, we won't spend a lot of time on this. Maximum: 10 minutes a day. I'm doing the assignments for the first time, along with you every day, and we're going to learn as we go.

Assignment: Start listing names for Holiday Card List (10 minutes)

1. Open new Excel workbook (or grab a piece of paper).

2. Save as “Holiday 2005”

3. Title the sheet “Holiday Card List”

4. Make 2 columns on left: First Name and Last Name (leave room on the right for more columns to do on another day).

5. Set timer for 5 minutes, start listing all the names you can think of in 5 minutes for your Holiday Card list.

STOP! That’s it for today! Save the file (or put the paper in a safe place, in a folder, notebook or stick it on the refrigerator).
